An okay session IPA with acceptable hops character, but a touch watery and one-dimensional relative to others in the category. Just a bit of butter in the finish detracts from drinkability. Nice mix of fruity hops and esters with a medium-sweet malt base. Baby Daddy Session IPA by Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is a IPA - Session which has a rating of 3.7 out of 5, with 19345 ratings and reviews on Untappd. Overall: “Firm bitterness lingers just long enough. Finish is balanced between hops flavor, bitterness, and a light malt. Bitterness is supportive but not overpowering. Intense hop flavors and aromas of tropical and citrus fruits and pine dominate. Coconut, pineapple, black tea, and hints of toast. Our East Coast version of a West Coast-style IPA. Could benefit from a stronger nose.”įlavor: “Smooth malt, slightly sweet. Fresh-mown lawn along with pineapple, banana, and a light earthy/woody base. It has a full balanced body, with a crisp nish and low bitterness.” What our panel thoughtĪroma: “Fruity and spicy. The aroma and flavor yield citrus and tropical notes: grapefruit, melon, lime, passion fruit, and a touch of spice.
